Dental Crowns
Crowns, also known as “caps”, offer a restorative solution for teeth that have structural damage. A custom crown is created (from precious metals, fine porcelain, or a combination of the two) to fit your mouth and is placed over an existing tooth to restore its function, appearance, and health! Crowns may also be utilized to support other dental work, too.

What’s the process?
Placing crowns is a two-part process, as the crown is custom-made to fit your mouth and match your tooth coloring.
- The first step is to remove any decay or old filling material near or on the affected tooth.
- Next, a scan is taken of the tooth that will receive the crown.
- Using the scan, the dental lab fabricates the crown to the patient’s specifications.
- At a follow-up appointment, the crown is bonded in place, with adjustments made to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.
