Our Preventive + General Dentistry Services

As a kid, you might remember getting taken out of school early for your twice-a-year dental check-up, followed by a treat at McDonald’s or the like, and then some daytime TV. These bi-yearly check-ups don’t go away with adulthood — actually, they are more important than ever. We make staying on top of your oral health simple and easy.

What to expect on your preventive visit:

  • A thorough dental cleaning to remove plaque and tartar from the surfaces of your teeth and around the gums.
  • A visual examination of the mouth to look for spots of tooth decay, gum disease, and worn dental work.
  • X-rays to check for decay and other problems that could be lurking behind the scenes (only once per year).
  • An oral cancer screening.
  • A fluoride treatment, as needed, to strengthen tooth enamel.
  • Tips on how to improve oral hygiene habits.

If anyone on our team spots a red flag when examining your teeth (signs of tooth decay, gum disease, etc.), we can assess and make recommendations on the best course of action to restore your oral health.
