Our Preventive + General Dentistry Services
As a kid, you might remember getting taken out of school early for your twice-a-year dental check-up, followed by a treat at McDonald’s or the like, and then some daytime TV. These bi-yearly check-ups don’t go away with adulthood — actually, they are more important than ever. We make staying on top of your oral health simple and easy.
What to expect on your preventive visit:
- A thorough dental cleaning to remove plaque and tartar from the surfaces of your teeth and around the gums.
- A visual examination of the mouth to look for spots of tooth decay, gum disease, and worn dental work.
- X-rays to check for decay and other problems that could be lurking behind the scenes (only once per year).
- An oral cancer screening.
- A fluoride treatment, as needed, to strengthen tooth enamel.
- Tips on how to improve oral hygiene habits.
If anyone on our team spots a red flag when examining your teeth (signs of tooth decay, gum disease, etc.), we can assess and make recommendations on the best course of action to restore your oral health.
Let Our Patients Do the Talking
We are committed to you and your oral health. Why? Because we’re community members, too — your friends and neighbors — and we know that better oral health means a stronger, healthier community. But, don’t take our word for it — hear it straight from our patients:
